Abstract
This paper aims to conduct a cluster analysis of the indicators related to the cardiovascular disease domain in the National Outcomes Program (PNE), focusing on Hospital and University Hospital Companies in Italy and comparing their data. The primary objective is to identify patterns and affinities between institutions with similar indicator values, outlining common characteristics that can help enhance the quality and efficiency of healthcare services. Using clustering methods in RStudio, we seek to create a mapping that highlights the similarities and differences among various hospital structures, providing a valuable benchmarking tool for policymakers and healthcare managers. Ultimately, this study aims to offer insights on how to improve the organization and management of hospital organizations (AOs) with a perspective of transparency and accountability toward citizens.
